Fixed star Sadalmelik, Alpha Aquarii, is a 2.94 magnitude pale yellow star on the right shoulder of the Water Bearer, Aquarius Constellation. Spectral class G2 Ib.

      Applied in recent times from the indigenous Arabic name sa‘d al-malik, for α and ο Aqr. A possible meaning for the name is “the Lucky (Stars) of the King,” but the exact historical connections are unknown.
      Of the ten sets of stars in the region of today’s Aquarius, Capricornus, and Pegasus, whose indigenous Arabic names begin with the word sa‘d, none of their meaning is really known. The knowledge was lost by the Arabs themselves centuries ago. As a common noun in Arabic, sa‘d means “luck.” Furthermore, it has been suggested that all these stars may have been associated with a pagan Arabic deity called Sa‘d. Sadalmelik Astrology

Fixed star Sadalmelik is of the nature of Saturn and Mercury. It causes persecution, lawsuits, extreme and sudden destruction and the death penalty. [1]

Sa’ad Al Malik, α Aquarii, but in fact now marginally less bright than β, is another Saturn-Mercury type, like Sadalsuud, and with very similar meaning for us. Perhaps it is rightly now the less bright of the two, in these days when good fortune for kings is expected to be no more important, at best, than the same for everyone else. Yes, it is an indicator of the most brilliant success and favor for those in authority, and a sign that they will put it to good use if they have it well aspected.

But any Saturn-Mercury simile is surely a note of warning for any would abuse good fortune or be miserly about sharing it, a warning reiterated by the proximity of the Archangel star Fomalhaut only 24’of arc later in longitude. People doing well in high places will do yet better to remember that they are being watched from places higher still, watchers who no doubt have an unbiased interest in the well-being of everyone, king and commoner alike, in the case of the advance of the entire human species and the planet it dwells upon.

Nashira and Sadalsuud were the focal center of a very good area of the sky which was all about good rulers and successful sheikdoms, Saturn-Jupiter, and good things happened for their people, Saturn-Mercury. And they carried this benefic area onto include the stars Sadalmelik, Good or Lucky King, α Aquarii, and the mighty star of Archangel Gabriel, Fomalhaut, Mouth of the Fish, α Piscis Australis, with its reminiscence of that earlier star Nunki, Edict from the Sea, or freely interpreted, Word of God. Asterism Wei the Rooftop

The 12th Chinese lunar mansion is named Wei (Rooftop). Its 1st asterism is also called Wei, resembling a Rooftop. Wei means high, and high places are dangerous, so the Wei constellation is often considered inauspicious.

The Rooftop is favorable for preparing, taking, and administering medicine; for serious and wicked endeavors, such as digging rivers and ponds, planting hemp and beans, sending merchants to collect taxes, appointing officials, and hiring doctors. Whether entering, exiting, lingering, or staying in position, territory is lost, and bloodshed occurs. If it enters, there will be great chaos and treacherous ministers will rise up.

When a guest star transits here, mourning and weeping occur; alternatively, it indicates excessive rainfall and failed harvests. If the guest star enters this area, construction projects begin, or there will be an amnesty within three days. If it leaves, there will be heavy rain and a poor harvest. If it remains in place for some time, the nation declines and famine occurs among the people.

When a comet transits here, there will be rebellious ministers and uprisings; its departure signifies a general leaving the country, a change in the government, and great floods and famine. When a comet invades the area, there will be rebellions and uprisings in the country.

Ptolemy makes the following observations: “The stars in the shoulders of Aquarius operate like Saturn and Mercury; those in the left hand and in the face do the same: those in the thighs have an influence more consonant with that of Mercury, and in a less degree with that of Saturn: those in the stream of water have power similar to that of Saturn, and moderately to that of Jupiter.” By the Kabalists Aquarius is associated with the Hebrew letter Nun and the 14th Tarot Trump “Temperance,” over which virtue the constellation appears to have some rule. The beauty of Ganymedes and his flight through the air also link it to the ideas of personal charm and aviation with which it is certainly connected. [1]

The constellation of Aquarius is traditionally the place of good fortune. It indicates full-flowing rivers and springs and portends a sufficient amount of water for agricultural requirements.
