The Ten of Swords carries an unpleasant connotation, like many Swords cards, but it isn’t necessarily the end of the world. When the ten appears, however, it clearly signals you to be cautious about where you place your trust.
When the Ten of Swords comes up concerning a question as to whether you can believe what a person is telling you or trust that a situation is stable, this is a pretty clear answer of “no.” However, remember that whenever a door closes, another opens. You are being guided to a situation that is better for you. Trust yourself and trust in the universe.
